I had a similar experience a couple weeks ago at my first autocross at Lime Rock. Me and my bone stock ATS 2.0 w/ car seat in the back “beat” vs an E90 m3 and an S4.

Autobahn Country Club (South Track) in Joliet, IL.
I was in the novice class, so it’s not really all the impressive. But it’s still a cool feeling to be chasing down and passing M4s, M3s, Corvettes, and other such high horsepower cars in something that’s putting down maybe 170whp.
I did have a really good cat and mouse chase with my buddy in his 997 911 Carrera S too. I would’ve passed him if we hadn’t hit traffic. I was putting a bit of pressure on him and he overcooked 3 or 4 turns in a row.
